Diagnosis
Symptoms may signal
a periodontal problem
but infection can
be present without
the patient experiencing
any of the following:
• gums that
are red, swollen,
tender or bleed
easily
• gums that
have pulled away
from the teeth
• persistent
bad breath or bad
taste
• permanent
teeth that are loose
or separating
• any change
in the way your
teeth fit together
when you bite
• any change
in the fit of partial
dentures
Always
inform the doctor
if you experience
any of these symptoms.
Dr. Roznik will
perform a thorough
oral examination,
including x-rays,
to diagnose periodontal
disease. |
