"Dear Dr. Roznik,

I had the opportunity to become one of your new patients this week and I had to write this letter to commend you and your staff on my first visit. Please know this is the first time I have taken time to thank a doctor’s office in writing, but you all deserve it.

It takes just a quick glance, maybe three seconds, for someone to evaluate you when you meet for the first time. These first impressions can be nearly impossible to reverse or undo, making those first encounters extremely important, for they set the tone for the all the relationships that follows.
I checked in with your front-desk staff (sorry I didn’t get everyone’s name), but the young lady welcomed me and updated me often on my wait. I waited nearly 40 minutes, but was given a Target Gift Card to compensate me for my time. I HAVE NEVER BEEN REWARDED BY ANY DOCTOR OR ANY PROFESSIONAL FOR MY WAIT! I WAS SO IMPRESSED!

I was escorted to an exam room and taken care of by Anna. She was definitely one of the highlights of my visit. She took my x-rays, talked with me and seemed genuinely concerned about my oral health and my overall physical health. She explained everything in detail. She was a delight (and delight is not usually a word I use in the dentist’s office).

As I was leaving the office, I met with another wonderful lady that not only made my next appointment, but printed out my account with insurance information and explained in great detail what my insurance would pay, how it was applied to my account, etc. I am 53 years old and never had anyone take the time to explain my benefits to me. Again, another exceedingly pleasing experience, just checking out!

Again, Dr. Roznik, I am sure you aware of how great your employees are at work, but I wanted you to know how great they are to your patients too. By the way, you were very kind and gentle to me too!"

"I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gordon Roznik since I moved to Charlotte over 10 years ago. I’m not even sure how I found out about him, but he was within easy walking distance to my office in uptown Charlotte. And I’m glad I did. Dr. Roznik and his staff have been great. They’re very accommodating and I always feel welcome. Trust me, I’ve had a ton of dental work done over the years and a chance to get to know many of them. I actually look forward to seeing them. My wife is a patient of Dr. Roznik and my sons have been over the years, as well. I’m very relaxed in a dental chair and that’s due to a combination of my comfort with Dr. Roznik as a person and most definitely his skills and techniques as a dentist. And it’s evident that Dr. Roznik continues his education because, over the years, procedures have become faster and requires fewer visits. He also seems to stay up to date with technology and processes. Dr. Roznik offers sedation dentistry, but I’ve only used it once while having wisdom teeth pulled. I’ve always been fine with Novocain and Dr. Roznik is careful to provide just the right amount so I can avoid discomfort. My wife, who is not relaxed in a dentist chair, uses sedation dentistry and it’s made a huge difference in her attitude about dental visits. I am no longer work uptown with any regularity, but have no plans to change my dentist. Why mess with a good thing!"

By the time I sat down to read a magazine, they called my name to go back. The dental assistants were very knowledgable and used the best technology to conduct their exams and x-rays. "In the past, I had some very bad experiences with a dentist. The memory of the pain kept me away from most dental work and maintenance. My wife encourage me to visit Dr. Roznik's office when she heard about the sedation dentistry. I was very impressed with the entire experience. The pain was minimal to non-existent, and the staff is outstanding. What impresses me the most, however, is the aftercare. After a very extensive procedure, I developed some pain on a weekend. I was able to contact a real person, not a voicemail and get relief in under 2 hours. "I just wanted to pass along some Kudo's to your office. I have been there twice, and even though I had a little dispute the first time I was there (I was having a bad day that day - I am convinced that was mostly my fault) I wanted to say how much I love coming there. The first time I was there I had a root canal and a filling, and today I had two fillings. And despite how much of a chicken I am and how much Novacaine Dr. Roznik has to use on me each time, EVERYONE seems so happy to be there, and happy that I am there.
